Year 3 have been innovating a story based on ‘The First Drawing’ by Mordecai Gernstein. They have learnt to use adjectives and write sentences using the rule of three. In Maths, we have been learning to locate numbers on different number lines and work out the size of intervals when they are not all labelled.
In Science, we have been learning to read and understand food labels and investigate whether foods that are high in protein are also high in fat. In Computing, we worked in groups to recreate a network as a drama activity and begin to understand how the Internet works.
In History, we have been learning about what life might have been like in Skara Brea during the Stone Age and Iron Age. In PSHCE, we have been suggesting solutions to and consequences to being distracted in class and sending unkind messages to other children. We are really enjoying learning harvest songs in singing assemblies too!
Children have begun to bring in and submit some fantastic home learning projects and we have seen some great recipes being made at home!
