This half term, Jade Class has been learning all about the Stone Age. They learned about how prehistoric tools changed from the Stone Age to the Iron Age including what they were made of and what they were used for. They had great fun learning about prehistoric animals and what early humans ate. Their favourite animal was the woolly mammoth and the sabre-toothed tiger! We used all of the facts we learnt to write a report all about the Stone Age!
In maths, we have been comparing and ordering 3- digit numbers and writing the different ways to express this.
In Science, we have been investigating whether people with longer legs jump the furthest. We used a measuring tape to measure our leg length. We then jumped from the same starting point (to make it a fair test!) and measured how far we jumped. We found out that people with the longest legs didn’t always jump the furthest.
Children have been bringing in some fantastic models of Iron Age homes and Stone Age tools as well as amazing diary entries, posters and photos of some great recipes made at home. Thank you!
