After such a positive first half term, Brass class has quickly got back in to the swing of things! Today, we began publishing our autobiographies ready to be made into a class book. Everyone has been keen to include baby photos of themselves to show how much they have changed over the years. We have enjoyed hearing each other’s most memorable and funny life moments and we rose to the challenge of writing about sad moments by choosing sensitive and emotive language – we did a really good job and our teacher learned a lot about us through this work. We hope to showcase our class autobiography book in our book corner soon!
In art, we have been using watercolours to create shades and tone. We’re excited to start a new painting project this term inspired by the Australian artist and illustrator Sha’an d’Athes. Today we looked at her style of illustration and use of colour. In computing, we have begun learning about ‘Big Data’ and how barcodes can be used to help manage large amounts of information. Also, we used QR codes for a practical activity around the school – it was very tiring. In science, we have been working in groups to show what we know about the human digestive system and circulatory system. We’re looking forward to more fun science lessons and can’t wait to hear when our new topic will be revealed!
