Building up to the end of the term, Azure class have been busy rehearsing for our carol concert and have thoroughly enjoyed creating our own winter headbands for the performance. We hope those of you who get a chance to see enjoy seeing what we’ve been working on!
In English, we have been creating our own civilizations based on the book ‘Weslandia’, I have been impressed with how creative the class has been in designing their own plants (which can do incredible things!). We are writing non-chronological reports to inform our readers of our civilzations; ensuring we have set out our reports using subheadings, formal language and topic sentences.
Some children in the class had the opportunity to continue to create art for our topic of ‘Take One Artist’. The artist we have been studying, David Hockney, also uses technology to bring his art to life. The children were able to apply the mark-making skills they have learnt and design their own work on the iPad and have created some fantastic pieces of work!
