This Term Gold has been learning about deforestation and the impact that humans have on this. We have learnt how this affects biodiversity, the food chain and the air. Deforestation causes flooding, droughts, land slides and extinction of animals that are needed. Gold created posters on ‘saving the orangutans’ as 25 are killed a day, this is a total of approximately 700 a month!!. We also created art pieces depicting what a forest looks like in contrast to a concrete jungle.
In Maths we have been learning all about fractions, which the children have thoroughly enjoyed.
