In Club Xtra this week we have learned that glitter is not good for the environment. Most glitter products are made from plastic, which contributes to the growing problem of microplastics in the environment. These microplastics are consumed by plankton, fish, and birds, and have a detrimental impact.
So we decided to reuse the little bottles that we got from Lewisham freecycle to create glitter art. We made a funnel from scrap paper, then we poured the glitter into jars in colourful layers. This way we locked away all of the glitter in Club Xtra to help keep our world safe.
