It has been great getting to know Azure class and finding out about their previous learning.  Last term they were learning about the Romans and this week we have been using this knowledge to find out more about Roman mosaics and designing our own collagraph tiles.  We thought about the aspects of Roman life that impressed us such as they ate flamingo brains and were amazing fighters and used these ideas to develop our own designs.  We then used ink and rollers to print our designs.

In English we have been reading ‘What a Waste’ and finding about the effects of waste and pollution on our planet.  We are currently making leaflets about how air pollution and water pollution are damaging our planet and thinking of ways of solving these problems.  We talked about the importance of active travel and also how important it is to plant new trees and protect mature trees to help clean the air we breathe.
