Ochre Class have had a great start to the Summer term, and have really enjoyed some sunny weather! On Monday we went to Wells Park to identify some trees and flowers as part of our new topic ‘Soil, Seeds and Sunshine’, before coming back to school and planting some wild flowers in our classroom. In Science we planned an experiment to find out what would happen to a seed if it did not get any light. We planted some cress seeds, and put some in the cupboard and some on the window sill, we can’t wait to see what happens!
In English we have made predictions about our new book ‘The Flower’. it is about a boy who lives in a dull grey city who reads a forbidden book about flowers. In Maths with have continued our learning about fractions, discovering that a half and two quarters are equal!
