In Jade class we are becoming fraction experts! We have been learning to estimate and compare fractions. We used plastic tumblers and rice to make different size fractions. We learnt that the bigger the denominator, the smaller the fraction.
In English, we have been reading the story of ‘The Pied Piper of Hamelin’ by Michael Morpurgo about a mysterious piper who comes to Hamelin to rid the town which has been invaded by rats. We got into role as one of the rich residents of Hamelin and wrote a diary entry about the day the rats arrived!
In Science, we have been learning about the functions of different parts of a plant and are looking forward to setting up an investigation to see what plants need to grow.
