This week our children in Magenta class have been very busy enjoying activities inspired by The Rainbow Fish story book.
The Rainbow Fish emphasises the importance of sharing and how good it feels to be kind and giving. When the Rainbow Fish, the most beautiful fish in the sea, doesn’t share he feels sad and lonely. He starts to lose his friends. Yet it turns around when he decides to start sharing, he makes friends again and he doesn’t feel lonely anymore.
Our class team set up a scenes from The Rainbow Fish in class and children have been describing different things from it. They have been creating their own fish using different collage materials, discussing how the characters may feel in the story and writing describing words about the Rainbow Fish and his friends.
Magenta Class have had a fantastic week also enjoying various activities including painting, creating with playdough and exploring play with water.
