Blue class have been so busy this term, learning all about space!
In English we have been learning all about poetry. We have been exploring the different styles that poets use in their work. Our favourites so far have been alliteration and rhyming. We are currently planning our own poems about space and will be writing these later on in the week.
Blue class have been working on addition and regrouping in maths. We have been using different practical methods to demonstrate our workings out.
In Science we have been learning about day, night and the different phases of the moon. We enjoyed using an apple and a torch to explore our understanding!
We have been continuing with printmaking in art, this week we looked at creating relief prints and how a stamping works. Did you know you have to draw your designs in reverse when making a stamp? This is because it will print as a mirror image. We did lots of practice with our stamps and really enjoyed using the polystyrene this week!
In D/T we have started practicing our sewing skills ready for our textiles project which we will be starting this week. We found our sewing activity very calming and a great bonding activity.
Another fantastic term where we have made our learning fun!
