We have been very busy in Green class this term.
In English we have been writing our own autobiographies. We are really proud of them and have been sharing our writing with our friends and learning so much about each other. As part of our English and topic work we have also been looking at a famous explorer called Amelia Earhart. This week we made our own paper airplanes and binoculars, and went exploring all around the school.
In Math’s we have been recapping on everything we have learnt this year. We have mastered adding and subtraction and will move on next to division!
In P.E. we have been preparing for Sports Day. We are very excited and this week practiced our throwing with javelins, shot puts and discus. We’ve made great progress and can’t wait for Sports Day.
In Art we have continued our explorers theme. We made our own fossils in two different ways. First using plasticine and plaster resin, this was lots of fun but involved lots of waiting too! We made our plasticine into a bowl shape and then used shells to create impressions, then we poured in the resin and had to wait a whole day for it to set! They looked liked ancient fossils when they were finished. The second way we made fossils was using salt dough, where we made shapes and decorated them using bright paint and lots of glitter. We also experimented with shaving foam, pva glue and again lots of glitter to make ice-cream cones one afternoon, as all good explorers enjoy ice cream! Green class have had a lot fun making these.
