Cinnamon class has had a fantastic start to the term! We had a lot of fun launching our new topic, ‘Moving with the Times’, by making photo collages of hybrid transportation. Now, we’re looking forward to learning all about how transportation in London has changed over time. This week we made a timeline of London buses from 1850 up to today and learned lots of interesting facts, like that the original buses were pulled by horses and didn’t have a roof!
We are also really enjoying our English book, Beegu, which is about an alien that crashes her spaceship on Earth and is quite confused by what she sees. We received a letter from Beegu this week with a guide to her planet, Zorg, and asking us if we could write her a guide to Planet Earth. We started by looking at the different biomes, like deserts, rainforests and the Arctic, and using adjectives to describe what these look like. We’re looking forward to finishing this next week and sending them off to Beegu!
In RE, we learned about Diwali this week and how it is celebrated. We made beautiful paper lanterns, or kandeels, to take home.
