This week Club Xtra have been reusing old stock in an upcycling project.
We looked back at the pencil cases children in school were used during covid. The school had extra stock of these that had not been used. Instead of letting them get dusty in a cupboard, we decided to revamp them and give them a new life!
First we sketched out the design we wanted on paper, then we cut this to the same size as the pencil case so we could place them on top. Using POSCA pens we transferred our design on to the pencil case. We love getting to use POSCA pens, they are acrylic paint markers and draw on almost every surface.
In Club Xtra we know the importance of Upcycling. Upcycling involves two of the 3 ‘R’s of recycling: REDUCE and REUSE. We are really proud of ourselves for giving an old product a second life and we hope you like them too.
