In English this week Saffron class has enjoyed our book about Emperor penguins and learning facts about the Antarctic ready for our fact file at the end of the week. We know LOTS of facts, do ask us to share some! We’ve also had some wonderful polar projects come into class, the habitat boxes have been brilliant and so details, we can’t wait to see what everyone had made!
In Maths we have been busy working very hard on subtracting 2 digits from another 2 digit number. It has been tricky and rewarding work. We’ve enjoyed learning about ‘right and wrong’ in different religions and role played the parable of the Good Samaritan in our RE lesson. We’ve had some fabulous P.E. sessions exploring movement in gymnastics and this week had the apparatus equipment out to use. We are eagerly awaiting our next lesson to use it again! Meanwhile in Science we have been investigating the uses and properties of everyday materials, and at the end of the day we are spellbound by Roald Dahls’ magic in ‘James and the Giant Peach’. It’s been a wonderful week!
