This week in maths, we have been using our problem-solving skills to answer a range of word problems based on our timetables. We have also continued to develop our fluency and learning our division facts of our timetables. We have had fun creating a range of resources to help us with our timetables.
In English, we have been looking at a range of extracts from the Horrible Histories and identifying key features which we can use, when writing our very Horrible History piece of writing. We have learnt and been able to comment on language used and we are excited to write and share them with others.
In the afternoon we have been very busy learning about the Romans. We have used the chrome books to do independent research to further understand what the Romans left behind. We also spent the afternoon discussing and thinking of positive affirmations, for Children’s Mental Health Week. We discussed why our voice matters and how we feel when listened too and heard by others. We also read a book by author Rob Holmes all about Master Owl, Master Owl has been teaching us how to have a Magical Mindful Moment. Mr Holmes even sent us all bookmarks to use that helps with the breathing technique.
