Year 3 had an exciting trip to the Natural History Museum! 🌋 We delved into the world of volcanoes in an engaging workshop with a fabulous leader; Jo where we learnt some interesting facts about lava and became seismologists! We even experienced a thrilling earthquake simulation (whoa!), and touched the earth’s core – at least a model one! We spent time in the galleries sketching fossils and discovered a painting of Mary Anning who we learnt all about last term. It was amazing to see some of the actual fossils she first discovered too! We ended out trip marvelling at the different rocks, crystals and gems that were on display – did you know some of these take thousands of years to form?!
