Year 6 have had a fantastic start to our trip to Normandy, France! We had a gentle start, leaving school at 7.00am and having some much needed sleep on the coach! It was a long journey to Dover after all. The ferry ride was a smooth ride. We had a great time relaxing in the cabin, and some of us even headed out on deck to check out the view (despite all the wind!). It was much quicker than we expected, and definitely a highlight of the journey.

After crossing the Channel, we arrived in Calais and carried on towards the château. Along the way, we stopped at L’attaque Des Grenouilles Géantes, where we a stopped for a snack and short break before getting back on the road.
Our next stop was lovely Honfleur. We enjoyed a walk along the canal, making our way to the park where we stopped to eat again! This time having lunch. The weather has been glorious! It’s so sunny and hot, and we even had time to relax and play in the park before heading back to the coach.

The staff gave us such a warm welcome when we finally arrived at Château du Molay. We had a brilliant first evening, tucking into a tasty dinner and finding out about our dorms.
After such a busy first day, we went straight to our dorms and got ready for bed!
