Last week was a busy week in Violet Class. We have been doing Reading, SPaG and Maths assessments, and also finishing off our persuasive letters so that Mr Gough could look at our writing with Miss Oppong, and give us targets for us to focus on next term. The Letters were to the Brazilian government, persuading them to take deforestation more seriously as it is having a devastating impact on the world in which we live.
In Art, we have been creating a habitat collage, which has been really fun and allows us to show our teacher how creative we are.
We also had an interesting discussion around body image and the importance of being aware of social media and the celebrity culture, and having a positive view and opinion of ourselves. It is okay to want to make changes (e.g. become fitter) but to do this by making positive changes to our lifestyle.
