Lavender Class have had such a busy start to the term. We started our new topic that is titled ‘Painting on Walls’ in which we are looking at graffiti from the Stone Age through to today.
We have been learning a dance called ‘Come Alive’ in our PE lessons with Miss Lyle which is the dance to ‘Come Alive’ from The Greatest Showman. Although the dance is short, it is technical in terms of the number and complexity of steps. Performing our dance on Monday to the two other Year 5 classes was both fun and nerve-wracking! You can watch it below.
In our English lessons we are studying a book called ‘Love that Dog’ which is about a boy who doesn’t like poetry at all! Mrs. Campbell has also given us the opportunity to enter ‘Author of Tomorrow’ – a writing competition run by The Wilbur and Niso Smith Foundation. The following members of Lavender Class submitted an entry: Rafi, Mani, Fatima, Lansane and Aminata. Good luck to you all!
