What a busy start to the Summer Term in Nursery. We have opened two new Nursery classes, with the older children being very friendly and welcoming to their new friends.
We have started our new topic on Growing, looking closely at different seeds and plants. The children are developing their close observational skills and have drawn and painted some fantastic pictures.
They have also been planting, both in the classroom and in playground. Look at our growing peas and wild flowers! We have been talking about the importance of seeds and plants needing light and water to germinate and then grow – we have a number of inspiring gardeners at Nursery!
The children received a very special delivery on Tuesday – ‘Caterpillars’. We are learning all about the life cycle of the butterfly and the children are very excited to watch their own caterpillar’s progress through the cycle!
