In Copper Class we have recently been to Forest School – it was such a thrill to be back! Nostalgia really kicked in as we sat around in a circle on stumps, discussing the rules. When we lifted the tree stumps, we discovered a multitude of bugs. We all really enjoyed it and we would love to go back before the end of Year 6.
We have been learning about ‘Macbeth’ in English, written by William Shakespeare – our class room display hints at the story line.
We have also been preparing for the end of year play, aptly called ‘Goodbye My Friend’. We are pouring our blood, sweat and tears into practising, memorising and singing. It will be the best Year 6 play ever. Even better than Macbeth!
As the end of Year 6 is fast approaching, we are learning about the transition from primary to secondary school. There is a mixture of excitement and apprehension but speaking about our worries and expectations to our teachers is making the process fun, especially when we looked at our new school uniforms. Sad as me may be to leave KG, we look forward to starting year 7 and to new beginnings.
