In Cinnamon Class this week, we have been reading the text ‘Seeds of Change’ by Jen Cullerton Johnson which is a book about the life of Wangari Maathai. This week in English we wrote a persuasive letter to the President of Kenya asking him to reconsider the laws around girls being able to attend school.
In Maths, we’ve been learning about measurement. Yesterday we estimated and measured the length of a range of objects in the classroom. Who knew measuring was going to be this much fun!
In Geography, we’ve made comparisons between the rural areas in Kenya versus the rural areas here in the UK.
Our afternoons have been busy making stamps for our printing work in Art. We’ve looked carefully at Kente cloth patterns and tried our best to replicate those with our stamps. It has truly been an amazing week!
