We have been really enjoying our English learning in Jade Class! As part of our topic ‘Windrush’, we have been reading an autobiography written by Floella Benjamin who travelled to England from Trinidad in September 1960 as part of the Windrush generation. Through her book, we have learnt so much about life in Trinidad and how it compared to life in England during the 1960’s. We have explored the events of her early life and how she settled into life in Britain which we are going to use next week to write a biography all about her life!
In maths, we have been recapping our multiplication and division facts and how they are linked to each other. We have been using different strategies such as partitioning and the column method to solve multiplication and division calculations and word problems.
