We have had such a busy but exciting two weeks in Jade Class. We designed and created mini earthquake-proof structures as part of our topic, ‘Shakes and Quakes’. We then tested them to see if they would withstand a mini-earthquake! Some of our structures collapsed straight away so we then thought of ways to improve our designs by reinforcing them to make them more stable.
In science, we have been soil investigators. We carried out a soil permeability test to find out which soil was the most and the least permeable.
We have continued to learn the multiplication and division facts of the four and eight times tables and the associative law link between them.
In English this week, we have been reading a poem by Joseph Coelho called ‘You look like a rainbow’. We then worked in groups to learn parts to perform. We had so much fun!
