In Amber Class we have been reading the story ‘Little Red’ by Bethan Woolvin and comparing it to the traditional version of ‘Little Red Riding Hood’. We talked about which version we liked the best. We have acted out the story and now we are learning to tell the story off by heart.
In Science we have been learning about our bodies and our senses. We have been for walks around the school grounds to find out what we could see and what we could hear. In our classroom we carried out a taste, smell and touch investigation. We have been talking about what happens if any of our senses don’t work very well. We are also talking about which of our senses is the most important and whether there really are only 5 senses.
We have also been enjoying our Forest School sessions and working on whittling sticks and dying them with berries, making people out of crab apples and sticks and making our own conker hedgehogs.
