In Cobalt class we have continued to learn about the impact that waste and pollution have on our planet. We held a debate last Friday where we used emotive and persuasive phrases. This will support us in planning and writing our persuasive letters to all human kind to help save our planet.
In maths we have been learning about the distributive law, where we can take a calculation and break the larger number into two smaller parts to help us calculate the answer. We have been using part-whole models and arrays to help us.
We have been busy starting our new design and technology project. This half term we will be designing and making our very own catapults! We began by researching catapults and looking at different designs. We then learnt about mechanisms and created different linkages which will help us when we design our mechanisms for our catapults.
