We have had a great start to the new school year in Rose Class. The children have settled well and have learnt the routines of the day.  We have been using communication boards in hello time and snack time. In English we have been reading “We’re Going on a Bear Hunt”. The children have learnt all the actions and are joining in with the sensory story.  We have made bear masks and have been using our senses to explore the sensory bear hunt tray.

In Maths we have been learning counting rhymes and practicing our skills as part of our work system activities. We have also learnt some shapes this week and have been exploring them in our environment.

We have been to Forest school, had PE and been busy in the outside area. We are using turn taking cards and timers to help us with sharing and turn taking during games.
