Reception have had a fabulous start to 2024! We have come back ready to get back into our learning routines and dive into our new topic, ‘We are Superheroes’. We have been excited start gymnastics in P.E. this term. We have been exploring movement and balance so far. This week we practiced moving around the hall and using the mats to balance using different parts of our body. Some of us even perfected a superhero pose, like Spider-Man! We also tried rolling across the mats in different ways, which was great fun! We can’t wait to do more gymnastics next week.
In English, we have been reading the text ‘Supertato’ by Sue Hendra. The children have loved reading the story and writing descriptions of the evil pea. They’ve also been working extra hard to defeat the peas on their plate at lunchtime.
